New ACP Oncology Prizes

The ACP is pleased to offer prizes for 2016 to both medical students and Postgraduate trainees at FY/CMT level, to try and stimulate an interest in oncology and recognise excellence in cancer research.
Applicants are invited to submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words (excluding references in Vancouver style) on one of the following topics:
- Treating the older patient with cancer – what are the challenges?
- Cancer Survivorship – how should we take this forward?
Submissions should be in 12 point Arial, double spaced, and include a cover page with the applicant’s name, stage of training, medical school, and word count. Undergradauate essays need to be accompanied by a letter of support from the Dean. Applicant details should not be included in the body of the essay to enable submissions to be judged anonymously by a panel of three ACP assessors, and their decision will be final.
Deadline for submission: April 29th 2016. Results will be announced in the summer.
