Medical Oncology Trainees/Residents Survey

In 2025 the ACP trainees/residents committee carried out a comprehensive online survey of UK medical oncology trainees. The survey builds on the previous report from 2019, since when there have been many changes, including the introduction of the Oncology Combined Stem, new curriculum requirements relating to acute oncology, expansion of specialty training posts, and widespread changes to practice following the pandemic. The survey investigated all aspects of medical oncology training and identifies several areas for improvement, while demonstrating high overall satisfaction with training. We hope that the findings and recommendations will contribute to improving training in the UK. The report is here, with a supplementary appendix containing the survey questions.
