Representing and supporting medical oncologists in the UK

Clinical Excellence Awards - England and Wales - SUSPENDED (20 March 2020)

The latest round of National Clinical Excellence Awards was scheduled to open on 13th February 2020 but has been delayed to 13th March 2020.  Updated guidance and a link to the online application forms is now provided on the ACCEA website.  Please ensure that you read the ACCEA guidance carefully. The ACP, as the Specialist Society for Medical Oncology, is registered with the ACCEA as a recognised body for submitting recommendations for national awards.  As in previous years, current ACP members who can demonstrate a significant contribution to the ACP, and to the specialty of Medical Oncology as a whole, are invited to self-nominate for consideration for support by the ACP.   Please note that the ACP, as a specialist society, can only nominate for National Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards (not Platinum).  Applications are invited both for new applications and for those due to renew an existing award in 2020.

In addition to submitting an online application to the ACCEA, in order to be considered for ACP support we ask that you submit the same application form(s) by the revised ACP closing date of 9th April 2020.   Please download and complete the following form(s) and email to Alison Norton:

·         ACCEA Application form

·         plus additional forms, as appropriate:

  • Leadership and management
  • Research and innovation
  • Teaching and training

The use of the supplementary forms is optional.  Bronze and Silver applicants can submit a max of one additional form, Gold applicants may choose to submit a max of two.

Please also include a CV and a draft personal citation (max 1350 characters).  Following review by an ACP sub-committee, applications will be ranked and citations submitted to the ACCEA for those applicants that the ACP is able to support (NB as a specialist society, the ACP is only permitted to support a small number of applications).
